Christian & Jabari Parker Live! on Sistas in Zion Radio – General Conference Sunday!

Sistas in Zion Radio, Sunday, April 1, 2012, 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. With live in-studio guests: Christian & Jabari Parker!

Christian & Jabari Parker are brothers from the South Side of Chicago who have been inseparable since their brotherhood came to be. Not only do they share a love of basketball, but also a love and devotion to their faith as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They’ll holla at the Sistas & listeners on faith and their unique life experiences.

Christian now lives in Seattle and plans on attending the University of Washington. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, he overcame many obstacles in making his way to serving a full-time LDS mission in Atlanta, Georgia. He remains strong in the LDS Church, and plays a key role in his sibling’s lives through his example and experiences.

Jabari is currently a junior in high school and is listed as the #1 High School Basketball player in the country. He is being recruited by all of the top college basketball programs throughout the country. He is an active member of the Hyde Park Ward in Chicago, attending early-morning Seminary regularly. Despite all of the attention he receives for his basketball talent, Jabari continues to stay humble and devout in his responsibilities as an Aaronic Priesthood holder in the LDS faith.

  3. Score!  I live in the Chicago area, so I know who Jabari is and have followed his exploits in the press.  A very impressive, humble young man, with a tremendous family supporting him.  This interview is a nice coup for the Sistas!

  4. Brotha Kevin Barney, If you wouldn’t mind helping us get the word out there that would be great! We know sports, but we don’t know sports fans. To be honest we barley know sports, if we keep asking our husbands they win… Can you help us, Sistas? We won’t tell the other men, and we’re pretty sure you’re not breaking any type of man code :). Who else do we need to talk to in order to get more exposure?

  5. Where can we listen?
