Scott Howell was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Salt Lake City. He graduated from the University of Utah and spent 34 years with IBM. Beginning in 1990 he served three terms in the Utah State Senate. Now Scott is running for U.S. Senate against current U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch. Howell will be talking to the Sistas about his campaign and being a Mormon Democrat. Mark Pope grew up in Washington where he was a star high school basketball player. He attended the University of Kentucky where he helped the Wildcats win a National Championship. Pope played in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets. After his NBA career he attended two years of medical school before getting back into basketball as an assistant coach. He is now an assistant coach at BYU. He and his wife Lee Anne have four daughters and are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
